Impactante video: una ola de 15 metros le rompió la espalda a surfista en Portugal

El surfista británico Andrew Cotton fue protagonista de un terrible accidente en Portugal, que compartió en su cuenta de Instagran: mientras practicaba en una playa de Nazaré fue alcanzado por una ola de 15 metros que golpeó directamente en su columna y le rompió algunas de sus vértebras.

El deportista de 35 años fue rápidamente ayudado y trasladado a un hospital, donde todavía está internado. “Me rompí la espalda, pero tuve mucha suerte”, escribió en la publicación.

Según explicó Cotton, el hecho ocurrió mientras grababan un documental. Las imágenes muestran la magnitud que alcanzó la ola son realmente impactantes.

What can I say, I got a little excited this morning and ending up having possibly the worst wipeout impact wise of my life. Thank you to all the lifeguards and crew on the beach who helped stabilise me and do a great spinal recovery, I can’t name everyone but you all did your bit to get me safely to the hospital .
