Home sold. So many emotions this week packing up to leave. We walked through this old 1880's house all together and then Max and I just sat on the stairs together reminiscing and taking the transition all in. When we first purchased it three and a half years ago it was not a pretty sight. We were so excited to fix it up and to see a vision for an old, historic home. It took a lot of work by us and our family turning it into something beautiful and packing items into boxes felt was so bittersweet. It sold within a week and we packed up in two and happened so fast, which did help make the transition easier. Things in boxes. Go. Today we walked through the house with tears streaming down our face remember the first time Luella crawled through the old wood floors and then the other first time that Minoux did. We talked about their rose baths in the bathtub, the meals cooked and baked and prepared on the kitchen island, the chalk drawings upstairs on the walls, my favorite front blush pink room, and we remembered the insane late nights that Max and I spent at the kitchen table starting the business. We stared at the tiny little dashes on the wall where we measured Lue's height since she could stand up. My mind revisited so many moments. We are so sad yet so excited to move onto the next chapter of our lives and can't even tell you how amazing the new family is who's moving in (@champagnepress 🍾) and honestly bubbling with thankfulness for our realtor who was more legit like a friend/therapist who also sells homes (Nicole Park Realty). It's been a really beautiful ride, Stillwater. ✌ Peace. So many emotions. And now, onto the next big journey.

Things I want to remember about this Christmas. Luie's first time ice skating on the lake with Max's parents, and their tender care for her. Classic Minnesota moment in my book. Ripped open all our gifts before the sun rose on Christmas Eve morning because Lue and I just couldn't wait any longer. Sneaking a red romper underneath my jeans and wool socks. Sleeping on the ground because we didn't even care where we slept, we just want to be home to see my sisters and brother and their family for as long as possible on Christmas. Minoux's breathing on Christmas morning. Staring into her blue eyes. So slow and sweet. My Moms homemade cinnamon rolls she makes every single year. Meeting my nephew for the first time and adoring the way he slept in my arms. The way both of our Moms and Dads served us, cared for us and spread their love on others. The way Max looked at me from a distance in a room full of people and the cheese and salami he bought me because he knows the way to my fox heart is truly by a direct route of cheeses.
